I am posting family photographs from my collection for Wordless Wednesday. The photo below is of my Great-Grand Mother Florence Evelyn BELDEN, my Grand Mother Geraldine HAYNES and my Great-Grand Uncle Roy H. BELDEN.

Florence Evelyn BELDEN was born on 09 Sep 1914 in Talala, Rogers, Oklahoma, USA as the seventh child of James Edward BELDEN and Nancy Catherine HAYNES. She had six siblings, namely:  Hattie C., Myrtle Marigold, Rosa, Elmer Edward, Chester William, and Roy H. When she was 19, She married Archie Tom HAYNES,son of William Walter HAYNES and Rose CLINTON, on 17 Sep 1933 in Talala, Rogers, Oklahoma, USA. She died on 30 Mar 2009 in Owasso, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. She was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Talala, Rogers, Oklahoma, USA.

Roy H. BELDEN was born on 15 Jan 1911 as the sixth child of James Edward BELDEN and Nancy Catherine HAYNES. He had six siblings, namely: Hattie C., Myrtle Marigold, Rosa, Elmer Edward, Chester William, and Florence Evelyn. He died on 27 Dec 1986 in Nowata, Nowata, Oklahoma, USA. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Talala, Rogers, Oklahoma, USA.

Geraldine HAYNES was born on [LIVING Private] as the second child of Archie Tom HAYNES and Florence Evelyn BELDEN. She had nine siblings, namely: Artis Thomas Wayne, Elsie, Evelyn Darlene, Ronnie Delbert, Donnie Thelmer, Bobby, Bonnie K., Betty, and James Walter Sr. She married Billy Ray SERATTE,son of William Archie SERATTE, Sr. and Myrtle Leona THOMAS. She married Eugene Fisher ROSS,son of George Houston ROSS and Annie Delesine RALSTON.

Geraldine HAYNES is also known as Geri.

Billy Ray SERATTE and Geraldine HAYNES had the following children:

1. Shelia Anne SERATTE was born on [LIVING Private]. She married Danny Ray RICHARD on [LIVING Private].
2. Rhonda Renee SERATTE was born on [LIVING Private]. She married Terry Lynn FITZGERALD on [LIVING Private].

Military Monday: John CUPIT

John CUPIT was born on 22 Jul 1818 in Chester, South Carolina, USA as the sixth child of Daniel CUPIT and Janet ROSEBOROUGH. He had five siblings, namely: Mary Jane, Daniel or Samuel, James R., Alexander, and Janet. When he was 30, He married Mary Elizabeth MITCHELL on 27 Feb 1849 in Mississippi, USA.

John CUPIT and Mary Elizabeth MITCHELL had the following children:

1. John Roseborough CUPIT was born before 1850.
2. Mary CUPIT was born about 1850.
3. William Lee CUPIT was born on 02 Jan 1852. He died about 1932.
4. Isaac David CUPIT was born on 12 Feb 1857 in Franklin, Louisiana, USA. He married Rosetta M. RILEY on 10 Sep 1893 in Nevada, Arkansas, USA. He died on 04 Aug 1938 in Hot Spring, Arkansas, USA. 
5. James D. CUPIT was born on 01 May 1858 in Louisiana, USA. He died on 19 Mar 1931 in Missouri, USA.
6. Jannetta CUPIT was born on 11 Dec 1862. She died on 28 Jun 1863.
7. Eliza A. CUPIT was born on 11 Dec 1863. She died about 1885.

He enlisted into the Confederate States Army on 14 Jul 1862 in Franklin, Mississippi with the rank of Private into Company E of the 2nd Mississippi Infantry Quinn's State Troops. 

John CUPIT's date of death and his burial location are unknown to me at this time.

Thriller Thursday: Bonnie Elizabeth PARKER (1910-1934) Post #1

I have the PARKER surname in my tree from my 2nd Great-Grand Mother Nettie Mae PARKER. I have heard rumors in the family that Bonnie PARKER might be a distant cousin. Over the next few months I am going to be doing a lot of research to see if there is any truth to this family mystery. In the meantime I will be posting stories of Bonnie's 22 month crime spree.

Bonnie Elizabeth PARKER was born on 01 Oct 1910 in Rowena, Texas, USA. as the second child of Charles PARKER and Emma KRAUSE. She had three siblings, namely: Hubert Nicholas and Billie Jean. When she was 15, She married Roy Glenn THORNTON, son of Wilmer Harrison THORNTON and Florence May MARCY, on 25 Sep 1926. She died on 23 May 1934 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, USA.

Bonnie PARKER'S first brush with the law occurred in April of 1932. Bonnie PARKER along with Clyde BARROW and Ralph FULTS were entering the Robert H. Brock Store in Mabank, Kaufman, Texas, USA when the were spotted by Police Chief David DRENNAN. The gang fled west in a car that was believed to have been stolen from Tyler, Texas. After a few miles of the chase and the car stalled in mud in Cedar Creek  Bottom west of Mabank, then gang stole two mules and made a five mile run north to Kemp, Texas. Once in Kemp the gang stole another car and turned back to the southeast towards Mabank. After another short car chase the second vehicle gave out the gang continued there run on foot while taking shots at pursuing officers. During the short foot chase Ralph FULTS was shot in the hand and this forced him to surrender. When he surrendered he was checked and found to be carrying an automatic pistol. Bonnie surrendered at the same time and told authorities that she had no part in the gun fight and didn't know what she did during it. She was covered in mud and found to be carrying no weapons. Clyde BARROW was able to escape the authorities this time. Ralph and Bonnie were taken back to the Kemp Calaboose Jail in  Kemp, Kaufman, Texas, USA. During questioning Ralph FULTS used the alias "Jack Sherman" and Bonnie PARKER used the alias "Betty Thornton". When asked about there ability to stay on the mule's during the 5 mile run through the mud they told authorities that they had ridden in the rodeo in Tulsa and that the bucking animal was no obstacle to them. Bonnie was no billed for the crime by a Kaufman County grand jury on 17 Jun 1932 and was released.

When he was 20, He married Florence Evelyn BELDEN,daughter of James Edward BELDEN and Nancy Catherine HAYNES, on 17 Sep 1933 in Talala, Rogers, Oklahoma, USA. He died on 23 Sep 1979 in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, USA. Archie Tom HAYNES was buried in Fair View Cemetery in Talala, Rogers, Oklahoma, USA.

Archie Tom HAYNES and Florence Evelyn BELDEN had the following children:

Della Mae JONES was born on 30 Jan 1909 in Ballinger, Runnels, Texas, USA as the third child of Jeff J. JONES and Martha Emily DRAKE. She had two siblings, namely: Ellen Mamie, and Jody.
