Sunday's Obituary: Troy Melvin RICHARD (1908-1983)

Today's obituary is that of my Great-Grand Father Troy Melvin RICHARD. The obituary was printed in the Dallas Morning News on Saturday, February 5, 1983 and appeared on page 33. 

Troy Melvin RICHARD was born on 20 Jan 1908 in Goldthwaite, Mills, Texas, USA as the second child of James Fredrick RICHARD and Nettie Mae PARKER. He had seven siblings, namely: Georgia, Euna May, Lee W, Beulah B, Rosie V, J T, and Allice. When he was 18, He married Della Mae JONES,daughter of Jeff J. JONES and Martha Emily DRAKE, on 30 Jan 1926 in Belton, Bell, Texas, USA. He died on 03 Feb 1983 in Grand Prairie, Tarrant, Texas, USA.  Troy Melvin RICHARD was buried in Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen, Bell, Texas, USA.


Troy Melvin RICHARD and Della Mae JONES had the following children:

1. Floyd J. RICHARDS was born on 16 Nov 1927 in Bell, Texas, USA. He died on 19 Nov 2010 in Temple, Bell, Texas, USA.
2. Lloyd M RICHARD was born about 1931 in Texas, USA.
3. J L RICHARD was born on [Living Private].
4. Baby Peggy RICHARD was born on 03 Aug 1934 in Bell, Texas, USA. She died on 18 Aug 1934 in Temple, Bell, Texas, USA in White Hospital.
5. Della Fay RICHARD was born on 04 Oct 1935 in Belton, Bell, Texas, USA. She died on 05 Jan 2012 in Paris, Lamar, Texas, USA. She married Venuard Leon SUGG on 27 May 1960 in Paris, Lamar, Texas, USA.
6. Cecil Ray RICHARD was born on 23 Sep 1940 in Bell, Texas, USA. He died on 01 Jul 1998 in Irving, Dallas, Texas, USA. He married Vivian L. HULSEY on 31 Dec 1980 in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada, USA.
